"Purchased" function not working

When I click on the "Purchased" link in the iTunes store, iTunes goes to the screen that shows the music, apps and books buttons, but there is nothing else (no lists, no "not in my library" button or anything else). It also does not allow me to select any of the three buttons previously mentioned. Just a blank white screen. This has just been noticed after updating ti 10.4. Anyone else?

I am having the same issue (loss of Purchused functionality - white screen) on my Windows 7 Professional 64-bit machine since upgrading to 10.4.0.80. On a second Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 32-bit machine with the latest version of iTunes for that machine the Purchased function works perfectly with the exact same Apple ID login. Hopefully a glitch fix is in the works because a complete uninstall and reinstall of all Apple software as suggested by another user is something I'd like to avoid, if possible.

Can you guys test a theory for me?

Hold down control and check Help > About iTunes...

When Apple Application Support appears, tap your spacebar.

Does it say 2.0.1?

If so, uninstall all of iTunes (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 (XP) and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 (7/Vista) have the order... I always forget the order) and Safari 5.1 and install only iTunes 10.4.

Crazy, I know, but I bet that's going to help.

Cheers,

Thanks for the solution.

This worked beautifully for me, following the complete instructions. By the way, the instructions don't tell you to uninstall Safari, so I didn't. Everything works fine now.

To karan, make sure you expand all the instructions and do a full verification that all of the components/folders are removed prior to installing. My apologies if you already did that.

Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order. Then, restart your computer.

  1. iTunes
  2. QuickTime
  3. Apple Software Update
  4. Apple Mobile Device Support
  5. Bonjour
  6. Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
  7. safari

& install itunes latest ver. only

DO NOT REINTALL SAFARI.IF SAFARI IS REINSTALLED.

THE PROBLEM WILL ARISE AGAIN

THANKS FOR EVERYBODY'S SUPPORT & HELP

Installing the Quicktime 7.7 update also installs Apple Application Support 2.0.1. So if you install the Quicktime security update, it breaks the "Purchased" feature in iTunes. 😠

So you can either run a version of Quicktime with a known securiy flaw in it or have access to the purchased items, but not both.
