Weird Maximize behavior with taskbar on top

Honestly, I'm not sure where to post this.

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit. I keep my taskbar on the top.

I have a few programs that don't seem to know that my task bar is on top (2 that I know of - iTunes 10.4 64bit and Freemake). So when I maximize them there is a gap on the bottom where it thinks the taskbar is and the top of the window is underneath my taskbar.

I'm sure there are other programs that do this.

I'm not sure why it is doing this?

Just installed iTunes 10.4.1 and the problem still exists! Apple hello! Fix this!

Thanks for letting us know iTunes 10.4.1 is crapped out too! It just proves my point made on the previous page.., Apple just don't give a sh**!! Why would they when they have discussion pages like these, the idea is a simple one really. Apple produce the buggy software, the discussion group has to find it's own solutions!!

Way to go Apple! Just knew I could count on you for support! 😐

I can't understan why the havn't addressed this issue yet, from what I can see its seems to be a simple case of lazy (intentional or not) programming. From the screen shows I've seen including mine here ...

The window size is adjusted correctly, but instead of asking windows where the window should be placed thet seem to be using a hard coded 0,0.

Sigh maybe in with the next release for the new iphones ...

fingers crossed

Yes spidertaker23 was absolutly correct, this PROBLEM still EXISTS in 10.4.1..!!!!!! I guess Apple do this deliberatly to try and make us all by a Mac.., yeh right, drop the price to something sensible and we'll all buy one!

Anyone also notice that this version of iTunes screws up your cover art? I've added several new albums to my library the last few days and applied the cover art to each one and yet iTunes insists on changing them to something random!! I keep all my cover art in a seperate folder as I make much of my own and for this reason I keep the auto update feature switched off for cover art.

And another thing! Why oh why does iTunes keep on stealing focus from the 'Get Info' dialog whenever I'm trying to apply information to my music tracks??

Getting really hacked off with iTunes lately, 'willw_oz' was right, it's just lazy coding by apple.

Anyone know of a better alternative to iTunes?

The artwork problem seems to be a problem with Ios not Itunes, there several post about it.

This is the only way I've found to fix this is ...

1. Sync your phone to save any playlists on the phone.

2. Go to itunes, turn off music sync (ignore the message about loosing playlists)

3. Sync your device.

4. Go back to itunes and turn on music syncing again.

5. Sync your device again, and if toye like me go make a coffeee and make a 3 course meal while itunes syncs 4000ish songs, then prey it doesn't happen again next time I add an album

Will MediaMonkey 3.xx was working great, but broke somewhere along the line, but the beta of 4.xx works great. But you can't use both and it doesn't do apps. Fairly certain you can only get the beta if you have a licence. But check it out if all you care about is music

Cheers

Thanks willw_oz.., sadly the remedy you found for correcting the cover art issue does not relate to my own problem. For a start, I don't have an iPhone (only iPod Video 5th Gen)! Secondly, the issue I mentioned with the cover art relates only to iTunes it's self. Cover art on my iPod displays correctly!

Thanks for the head's up about 'MediaMonkey'.., it's not one I've heard of before but anything is worth a try at the moment. I'm not bothered about crap apps.., as I said I only have an iPod 5th Gen which does me fine so no worries there.

By the way.., if anyone reading this is tired of the Apple OS on their iPod, try RockBox OS, it's great and adds functionality to your device that apple didn't think of.

Cheers!
