Safari 5.1 and AutoFill problems.

I have had exactly the same problem, as has my wife.

I have the same problem and I hate that the autofill box remains stuck. I have discovered if you hit the tab button it will go away and the cursor will move to the next field. Of course once you start typing the same thing happens but I continue using the tab until I am finished.

This problem has been driving me nuts for the last few days - is there a solution?

This is also driving me crazy. I have had some long flight delays today so I have had time to look this up. I still have not found a solution, and this autofill bubble on my screen is really annoying.

I have found if you use the pull-down menu (Edit>autofill) it works SOMEWHAT, but still not properly or completely. We can only hope for an update to fix this?

Don't hold your breath...... People have been complaining ever since the Autofill, which used to work JUST FINE, became "updated" to where it either doesn't work, or to get it to work, requires a couple extra, totally unnecessary steps.....

Yaaay! 😁 They fixed it! It worked properly for me today! Who says they don't listen to their loyal customers?😝

So, they fixed it? What version are you using, as I didn't see any updates available when I ran my Software Update program...

I don't see any change. Please explain. It's certainly not working any differently for me -- still the same old slow "improvement" that requires several additional keystrokes.

I thought it was the same also. I discovered if you click on the message it brings up your information and then click return. Everything is filled in. I just do not know why it took so long.

Well, there HAS been a change for the better. Shift-Command-A now AutoFills forms without the intervening pop-up window, so that's an improvement. But it's still not nearly as fast as the original method -- typing the first letter of your email or name in the appropriate field and hitting Enter or Return to have the rest of the form autofilled without any further action.

Shift-Command-A is awkward when you're typing fast, but I can reprogram the command keys to something a bit smoother.

MIne still does not work - just the annoying stuck bubble blocking where I now have to type....
