2 Lion Problems: Waking from Sleep Doesn't Go to Wifi Network; & Can No Longer Finger Swipe in Firefox to Move Backward/Forward

I hve a late 2009 iMac at home that I've upgraded to Lion. So far, there are only 2 issues that I'm having:

1 - When I wake the iMac from a long sleep, it doens't automatically log into my wifi network. I have to drag the mouse up to the menu bar, click on the signal icon and choose my wifi network. A few tiems yesterday, the computer stopped recognizing the network while I was in the middle of surfing. Haven't had that in a while, but the inability to log in directly after waking up remains.

2 - I use Firefox to surf. I can no longer move backwards and forwards between pages by swiping left or right. It works in Safari, but not in Firefox. Is that a new functionality that has to be rebuilt into Firefox because of Lion?

Also having random wifi issues after upgrading to Lion (10.7) on a new 2011 iMac. Sometimes i'll boot my Mac and it can't find my Time Capsule wifi for some reason. The older Macbook Pro a few feet away that is still running Snow Leopard (10.6) seems to have no problems with wifi. I might as well plug a network cable from the iMac to the Time Capsule just to avoid this for now.

Just want to add my voice to this thread, in the hope Apple is reading this:

I'm seeing the same behavior on my 2011 13" Macbook Air, 1.8, i7 running 10.7.2

After waking from sleep (usually opening the lid), there is no connection to the network. Sometimes I get the message 'none of your preferred networks can be found'. Select the network, sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it asks for the WPA Password (apparently there's an issue with the WEP passwords and this issue), sometimes it doesn't.

Have only had the MBA for a couple of weeks, this is the first Apple product I've ever owned that has failed to 'just work'.

My network uses an Airport Extreme, and today my MacPro, MacBook Pro 17", iPad2 all connected to the network automatically after being woken from sleep. Just as they do every time. The only one that doesn't is the 2011 MacBook Air 13".

I've gotten all the way up to a senior advisor on Apple Care. We reset the Keychains, the System Configurations, basically set the machine as if it had never seen a network. And today, the issue persists.

I have calls into the advisor to let him know, will post here if I get anything helpful.

MBP i7. Everything was fine until the recent firmware update. Now I'm having problems with both WEP and WPA routers at work and home. I have to turn the wifi off, then on, then wait about 60 seconds. In this time, usually an error msg about 'not connecting to wifi' pops up.

I am a heavy user - at least 10 hours a day on my laptop, usually more. This started exactly after the firmware update. I am unhappy.
