I'm a professional user who mostly works on location. If it wasn't for EasyFind I'd be royally screwed. Why is this taking so long? It's been months already!

An ftp account with access to the smb share will make the network drive searchable in Lion, but you only get Read permissions with ftp in Finder…, D'oh!

+1: Cant believe apple has not responded to or fixed search on network drives!!

Just out of curiosity: does anyone know how Windows handles searches on network drives?
