Easy Grade Pro 4.1 users . . . does EGP launch OK for you?

Hi . . . If anyone running Lion has Easy Grade Pro ver. 4.1 (gradebook software), does the application launch for you?

I did get a quick response from them, saying 4.1 is a Universal app (I'm running 4.0, which Lion identified as a PowerPC app . . . and won't run it).

However, it sounds like they don't have Lion (or, a Mac) . . .

Thanks if you have a second to try launching EGP 4.1 . . . fingers crossed!

OK -- IT WORKS . . . CONFIRMED!

Installation took only a minute, or less; verified my prior gradebook would open (it did). Whew.

Again, the upgrade from 4.0 was $18 . . . plus 10 to ship (currently no download opiton; order via EdLine's toll free number). FedEx ground just delivered, took 7 days.

I don't use any other features, just as a standalone; the other problem (and solution) relating to online grade / email features -- sounds like EdLine's support knows about EGP's importance for end users pretty well . . . hopefully for others it continues to maintain / improve.

Cheers 'all,

:] JB

Hello everyone,

Has anyone who has upgraded to Lion and EGP 4.1 discovered if the XML export is available using the Option-key / File>Intenet/Edline method described in Milonius' post?

I received the same email from Edline, but was hoping to avoid forking out the 48 bucks to test this out. Our district uses a parent/student portal that requires that we export our gradebooks in XML to upload them. Edline is obviously trying to push us into using their portal, but looking at how all of our education budgets are looking, I don't think we'll be making any changes that will require us purchasing new services. Looks like we might be losing the best grading program I've ever used.

Thanks in advance!

Hope this answers your question, but when you Option-click the @ button for internet options, this is what you get and I opened up the menu to show what the options are. I don't see anything about XML. And in the standard Export options in the File menu, I didn't see anything for XML either. I will try to upload another screenshot of that menu.
