How to make my finder widows appear after lion installation?

After installing Lion, my finder windows do not appear. Clicking on finder only brings up the finder menu bar - but all links in the menu bar do nothing. The finder window suggests that windows are open, but none come to the front. How to fix, please?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7)

FOUND A FIXXXXXX. at least this worked fully for me. turns out all the windows were hiding on my secondary monitor. i had my computer connected to my tv and although the tv wasnt on the computer input mode the windows where still there, i turned on the tv and set it to computer and there they were, all piled up, every window finder opened went to the secondary monitor. just unplugged the tv from the iMac and i got all my windows back. this happened right after i installed splashtop on my iPad and it made all the windows open there. This problem isnt related to the spaces on Snow Leopard cause i have a clean install so there were no previous settings, i hope this helps some of yall.
