Appstore Lion Download Getting: 500 Internal server error!!

My download was done and I got an error dealing with my connection. I restarted my computer and try finishing the download which is on pause. I can't get it to resume downloading now. It is stuck. I have thought about erasing my mac HD, reinstall Snow leopard and update it, then try redownloading and reinstalling Lion. I have already purchased it. I hope I can try redownloading again. Is the app store down?

Restarting your computer won't do anything to clear this error message as it's on Apple's side - the App Store is simply overloaded with downloads at the moment. Be patient and keep trying by pressing the install button from time to time. As it appears things are going, it may be until later tonight before things calm down enough for more folks to get in.

I don't think it's a server olverload becuse I managed to install another app on my first mac, but nothing works with the second one.

I am here in Washington and I am using a clear wireless WiFi connection everything seems to work fine even the Itunes store is able to download apps for me except the App Store with the 500 Internal Error!!!

If anyone can figure out what this is please post it here!!

SOLUTION FOR 500 SERVER ERROR

Greetings Guys,

Right the solution which worked for me is

Quit APPSTORE

Restart your MACs by holding the SHIFT buttom

When you see your LOGINS with SAFEMODE

RESTART your MACs and try then.

Its that simple.

It worked fine for me - I have downloaded, and installed it three times to day, on three different machines, and without any issues, so far. One was about half an hour ago.

Works fine now guys. If not just enter debug mode in App Store and reset the app 🙂
