As ryanblankenship said, install the "UFR II Printer Driver v2.30 for Mac OS X 10.4/10.5/10.6/10.7" and it will work. Go to this page, click on DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE, then select "Mac OS X v10.7" from the CHOOSE OPERATING SYSTEM dropdown menu, then download it.

No luck with the new driver. Preview is still hanging when trying to print.

I know this is of no consolation.... but I just want to add ....that I had the same problem... but this (what the previous 2 posters have written above) is the way to solve it..... can you get an application like appzapper or appdelete... and delete the driver you have currently installed?.... that way you know it is "Uninstalled" for good.

would also suggest you check whether the driver is installed just for you as an individual user... or installed for the computer (for all users)... as this may be a reason why there is a remnant of the previous driver on the computer...and thus explain why you are having problems with the new driver.

Then, obivously, after removing the previous driver completely (and for that matter....all the previous canon software as well... you do have a canon printer, correct?).... then reinstall the driver and the support software.

Can you, or someone, confirm that it was the MF4270 model that you got working with preview/textedit ? I tried the solution above and it still hangs. Before I proceed I'd like to make sure a solution is possible!

my particular printer is an mf 4690...

I have the same problem of not being able to print from Preview. Can someone direct me to the page for imageRunner2016 UFR II printer driver for lion. Cant seem to find it on the provided links. Thanks.

When using a HP laserjet P2015d, and trying to print a multi-page document, Print Preview only returns a page or page and a half of the document and therefore only that part will print. To fix that, once I have the document in print preview, I right click and select "Open PDF in new window" and then print form there. All of my document's pages now print.

My MF4270 works now with the latest driver! Keep checking for latest drivers. At least we know they're working on it for those of you still having problems!

Just a quick note: My issue (Preview/Print would hang my MacBook) was resolved by granting Read & Write permissions to my User Profile.
