AFP - LaCie Network Space 2 - Not Working on OSX Lion 10.7

I have no problems with TimeMachine and Myshare after the update 2.0.6

I have updated to firmware 2.0.6 and still can not acess myshare via OSX, I have emailed lacie.

dang it - should have found this thread first - just updated mine and now when I try to authenticate it does not work - I even updated passwords on the web interface and unable to authentcate - need to accelerate my plan to get rid of this thing

and then a few minutes after posting the above it decide to let me in.

yah well... it won't let me in no matter what! jesus!

Ok here is the deal.

Admin and timecapsule accounts don't work since the update to 2.0.6

OpenShare still makes connection if you connect as a guest. If you try the admin credentials it will not log you in.

The MyShare and timecapsule partitions I have though won't allow any log in. Tried to reastart the lacie and the mac. Still no go. Any suggestions?

Ok here is the problem for me:

MyShare and timecapsule shares do not connect no matter what. OpenShare seems to work although only as a guest. admin cannot log in to openshare! (not sure if that's weird or not)

However any account that has credentials (not guest that is) will not connect through my mac. PCs seem to not be affected but then again time machine does not work on pcs.

I really need to get my time machine up and running again. LaCie took over 2 months to update it's firm when Lion launched! Don't want to have to wait that long again.

Any ideas to get aroud that problem?

In my case - I kept getting the prompt to authenticate but it was not working.

I went into the admin interface and "updated" the passwords to the same as what I already had - and after a couple minutes they worked.

This worked for me too. For clarity:

Step 1

Update firmware

Step 2

Log into to network space 2 through the web interface, update password.

Step 3

Update authentication details through Configuration windows. Your shares should now be accessable as normal.

I can not find how I update my password.

You have to goto the web access area though your browser ex. 192.168.1.0 whatever you ip address is for your lacie drive. Then from "users" you will see where your password is, just click it and you can see where to change it. Hope that helps.

I have now update my password. I have still to make sometimes manual the connection and always I kept getting the prompt to authenticate. Automatic Time machine backup is not possible.

Strange is that the first days 2.0.6 was working with no problems.

I get a link from Lacie to download firmware 2.0.5 but when I want to install I get the message that install is not possible becouse the firmware is older than the firmware that is installed.

I think we have to wait for firmare 2.0.7 😠

Or reset the network space. Then it start with a older firmware told helpdesk Lacie. But then you lose the time machine backup. But you can install 2.0.5 again.

There is a firmware update 2.1.1

I installed the firmware update v 2.1.1. I can confirm that I am able to play songs again from itunes which are on my networkspace2.
