Download Lion Again

Hi,

I successfully downloaded and installed lion from the app store.

Unfortionately, Apple deletes the installer from the applications folder after instal.

How can I download Lion again on the same computer? If I go to the app store, it just says 'installed', and won't let me download it again.

So to be clear, what I want is the installer file.

Thanks,

Gabe

Mine went to launchpad too. It took a long time to download, and the bar very rarely moved, but it did. If you are stuck on waiting, make sure the App Store isn't downloading/updating anything else. Also, try to click the icon in launchpad and see if it changes to "paused". If it does change, it is downloading and you just have to wait. If it doesn't, still give it a while, but check to see if it's downloading/updating.

I can't edit my last post somehow, but I found a method for those who have Lion preinstalled, interested to obtain an installer:

It says to just initiate the reinstalling Lion process with the regular Recovery HD. But choose to install Lion on an external drive. When the download is about to finish, be aware. When the screen goes black, remove the external, and you'll have the installer package on the eternal drive. 🙂
