os x lion mtmd

I would like to know why the process mtmd is using 180% of the cpu after i installed Lion

And also the mdworker is running at 100%

This cant be right. can it?

For me as well.

Time Machine on USB drive.

MacBook Pro 2007

2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

and 4 GB ram

I have turned off the Time Machine and waiting for the system update.

was a fix every provided for this issue? My MacBook Pro performance went downhill after upgrading to 10.7 online - mtmd consumes up to 133% CPU. What to do?

Apple did not fix it. So I found this: http://pondini.org/TM/30.html It works, and I don't care what updates will bring. Lion is rather a disappointment.
