Please Apple, don't ignore YOUR wifi problem!

After long time using iOS 5.1.x on my iPhone 4, wifi was never an issue. But now, since i've updated to iOS 6.1 wifi is not functioning anymore. I can connect to wifi but no data will transmitted. Sometimes it works, but mostly not!

On my ohter iPhone 5 with iOS 6.x, same issue! Other wifi-devices in the network (not apple) working fine...

Just to be sure apple, are you working on this problem??? This bug exists since few months!

hay guys,i have same problem and i solved it!!..here:

(if your home wifi use Static mode)

If you want to go down the path of setting a static IP address, go to your laptop, open a cmd prompt on your laptop and type ipconfig then enter. This will give you your laptops IP address. You will need to enter four things to make "the internet work" on your phone under Static. IP address, something like 192.168.1.3 (add one to the last digit, so 192.168.1.4 if that doesn't work try 5 and so on),

Subnet Mask: copy laptops,

Router: copy laptops Gateway and

DNS: same as Router.

IP addresses are like numbers on a house or a phone number, you can't have two devices using the same address. Subnet mask, Gateway and DNS are shared.

Good Luck guys!!

Don't even bother screwing around with your phone or router. It is a hardware problem. I returned my phone and got a replacement that works perfectly fine.

They replaced my phone without question when I told them it was having Wifi issues.

The Apple employee was a bit evasive about whether this was a known issue- though unacknowledged by the company.

Looks like a visit to the store coming up! I have had my iPhone 5 for 3 months. It was fine to start with and now it is hopeless about the wifi - only sees it if it is almost sitting on it. SO fed up with being annoyed with the phone - and seeing all the discussion points around, realise i am not alone! Apple have jst got to sort this out. At this point I would say to folk DONT buy an iphone. Wonder if other makes have infuriating problms too?

I had this problem since I moved to a new 4s from work. My old 4 had no problems but my 4s would not allow me to turn wifi on or off ... After reading some posts I emptied the app tray ( double tap your home button ) closed all of my apps. I then put my phone on to airplane mode , turned the phone off for 5 mins. Turned the phone back on and went to wifi under settings (still in airplane mode ) turned wifi on and connected to my home network . Once I was connected to my wifi I then went back and turned airplane mode off and my phone connected to my carrier and wifi stayed on ! Problem solved :)

I have tried all the ways there are in this post, but none of them work ... I was confused, it happens to HARDWARE PROBLEM apple product or the SOFTWARE ..😕

perhaps the most powerful way is to not buy an apple product again

I hope from the apple can answer all of these issues, because this is one reason that could topple apple products

greetings ...

thank you for bringing apple products are very much an issue for us ... which is often problematic on iphone wifi connection only place in the freezer .. not in the office closet or in your closet ... I have tried and succeeded but unfortunately, only a short time, after which came another new problem, namely wifinya can not be activated again .. but I tried to put it back into the freezer, but it worked and the problem was repeated again ...

hopefully of the apple can find a solution so that the apple lovers will not switch to another smartphone ... if it happens to software, Apple quickly released the latest iOS to address this problem, and if it happens on the hardware, why is that?
