Lion: Safari can't open the page

Since upgrading to Lion, Safari is experiencing "Failed to open page" problems very frequently. I suspect it is something to do with maintaining sessions, as the php scripts running the pages I am having problems with use sessions to maintain state - I know this as I wrote the scripts.

A refresh of the page often then works.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I thought it was an internet connection problem,

but its obviously not if its happening to all of you!!!

I don't have LION ... I have Tiger and its happening to me too...

**This happens on all browsers!!!

It has to be an operating system problem!

PROBABLY SOMETHING FROM THE LAST UPDATE!!!

Its VERY annoying indeed specially because I WORK ON INTERNET!!!

ANYONE FOUND A SOLUTION?

After 1 day of testing I no longer experience this problem to such an obvious extent. The net.inet.tcp.keepidle and net.inet.tcp.keepintvl variables were modified in /etc/sysctl.conf. Their values were extremely low. I don't know how this happened. The solution was to set these values to their default values net.inet.tcp.keepidle=7200000 and net.inet.tcp.keepintvl=75000 using the "sudo sysctl -w" command.

I've been getting a similar message lately that says "Safari can't open blah blah becuase the servere where this page is located isn't responding." I spoke with an Apple rep and he said that because of my latest updates, some servers are not yet compatible. This made sense since I immediately started having the same problem with Youtube that resolved in a couple days after (I conjecture) they updated their side of things. The server I am currently having problems with belongs to a much smaller entity that may not even be aware there is an issue with the latest Lion. I don't know much about all the technolinguo in all this stuff, but at least I found something that made sense and was consistent with my own experience with Youtube.
