Hello, after i've installed OSX Lion on my iMac 2011 27°, i started getting strange graphical artifacts on my desktop as you can see in this screenshot. http://t.co/5EXmRfL
The graphic artifacts randomly appears, without that i am doing nothing in particular.
Is this a common issue? It's a Lion issue (fixable with an update) or should i format my iMac?

I have the same issue I only noticed it today for the first time. Im using a mid 2011 imac with 10.7.1

I am taking my MBP to Apple certified company locally to get hardware tested as suggested by Apple. Crossing my fingers! 🙂
Sorry, I did not mean to link to my thread twice (I thought this was a different thread).
Well, looks like there is nothing wrong with the hardware of my Mac.
Apple tech folk suggested waiting for next Lion upgrade.
They also said that I could downgrade to 10.6.6 or 10.6.8 (even though my MBP came with Lion pre-installed... suposedly, the firmware on my MBP will jive with those older versions)... Of course, I will probably have a hard time finding an installer for those specific versions.
I hope Apple fixes this problem in the next release!

lounch with quicktime or quicklook one by one
in an 10 times u see flash on green/pink in the screen
and artifact showing.....
this is magic.....

I accessed the first of those two and found it quite enlightening . . . The second then subsequenly the first I found I couldn't any longer access . . . more enlightening!

nope, but we'll see soon.
My workaround is to simply add a second monitor via the mini display/thunderbolt port. I am unable the reproduce the artifacts on the finder window when the second monitor is attached. The moment I disconnect the cable, the artifacts come back.
I've had two monitors from the very beginning and still had artifacts.
