Yeah dumb as butt with a tongue !

As soon as I updated from Safari 5.0, bingo... "...the server can not load nytimes.com" ..., shut down Safari, reopen it... oh, voilah, it can now ?! ...

Buggy as ****, and I've also noticed if you open Safari 5.1 and open up multiple tabs, you get like some crazy graphic meltdown in the main section of the window.

Yes, I do have LittleSnitch running, but I have Webprocesses added in to allow all traffic on port 80 & TCP 443, can browse most things now, stops all the Safari 5.1 webprocess nagging anyway.

Apple, don't be so eager to flash your new toys - you got where you are because of the quality and superiority. You're starting to scare me, you're losing your touch (i.e. Final Cut Pro X)

I wonder if they ban this from being viewed, like the Final Cut Pro X user reviews ?! ....hmmmmmmMMMmmm

Tried all the suggestions, still not fixed. To help clarify the issue. When I pull up safari it will highlight up to the http://goog part of http://google.com.

It will stop there and load no further. iTunes does the same thing.

I might just have to format the PC and start over. I don't want to do that because of all the custom settings

Thanks for everyone's help
