Hi all.
I have a, HP scanner model scanjet 4600 working fine on my snowlepoard Macs via Rosetta.
Mow I would like to move to Lion, but my doubt is that with Lion I'm going to loose the scanner usage (Rosetta is not included).
Any chances to acces the scanner in Lion?
HP driver are very old and implemented only for PPC.

Also make sure to check HP Support website for new drivers and firmware!
Unfortunally the scanjet 4600 is not included in the supported Printers&Scanner and HP drivers end up on Tiger (but via rosetta for Intel base Mac).
Do you feel any other solution?

Not looking good. I went to Hamrick to see if they had a solution.

This scanner isn't supported on Mac OS X Lion, since HP uses a PowerPC plugin for this scanner and Rosetta isn't available with Lion.
I wonder if I can hook up the scanner to another device and do network scans.
Dang, it's a great scanner. Wonder if there is a generic scanner driver?

what's about to use VirtualBox to install a Virtual SnowLeopard (as guest operating system) on Lion?
In this way, in order to access the scacn, I can use the virtual system having rosetta in bundle.
this could be a temporary solution waiting for some solution by Apple.
Any comments?

There are NO HP ScanJet models listed on the link you provided. That is pretty sad support. And is sicks pretty bad. This is my favorite scanner I've even owned and there is nothing simlar to it on the market that I can replace it with.
