My issue is that for animated title slides that I insert with iMovie '09, I can only choose from about a dozens backgrounds and colors. I want the background to be red, but the default red is not the shade I need and there does not appear to be a way to adjust the brightness.
iMovie '08, Mac OS X (10.6.7), It's actually iMovie '09, v8.0.6
Can't color adjustments(i.e., brightness, R,G,B%, saturation, etc.) be done using the Clip Inspector?
What about searching for a particular shade of red on Google images?

imagine the background as a 'still' or 'photo':
create your special shade of red in any 'Paint' app (Pixelmator, Photoshop/element or iWorks/Keynote ..) , save it as a jpeg, drag it into your Project, add title on that.
btw: in case you'll distribute your movie by DVD, don't be too colorful, too 'bright' with red ... old SDef video ddn't like 'red' ... or 'green' ... or 'grey' 😀 LOL ...
