I am also, with this unbearable problem! I replaced my MBP 13 for a Mac Mini and my problems began. I'm about 30 min per day (adding up all the events) waiting for the reconnection of my Apple Keyboard + Mouse + Magic Track! This they cascade. will only appear the first notification of loss of connection of peripherals. (all official apple) there has to wait until the **** want to connect again.

Already formatted😠, reset pram, I researched everything and nothing worked. Now with 3 months of using my mac mini (2011) i7 8GB OS 10.8 not wait to sell and buy a MBP again! Disappointed with the Mac Mini!

FIXED! Read this carefully, especially if you work for Apple.

I just bought my Mac Mini with Bluetooth keyboard and tracker and the same happened. The keyboard wouldn't pair and the tracker paired but with 'tap to click' diabled - a fat lot of good for selecting language. Bad release testing from Apple.

So, I switched the system off, and switched off the keyboard and mouse. I grabbed a beaten-up old PC USB mouse from my shed (paint splashes on it and all sorts. It cost £4.99 new). I plugged it in, I switched back on. I clicked and approved my way through the screens until my system was up and THEN it said "you don't have a keyboard". So I switched the bluetooth keyboard and tracker on, let the system find them, then unpaired and paired again. You also need to set 'tap to click' on with the tracker.

All works well.

Apple, you bunch of doughnuts, listen up.

Most people who buy your shiny new kit won't go to these lengths - they'll take their disillusioned, crestfallen backsides to the genius bar to watch someone else go through the joy of set up that they should have had at home. This is a brand breaker for you. Nice, brushed aluminium hardware and groovy functions don't matter a rat's arse if the opening few minutes break consumer confidence.

Thank heavens for my paint-splattered £4.99 old PC mouse. It fixed your 21st Century hardware a treat.

Bloody well get this fixed. You nearly stuffed my girlfriend's surprise present.
