Cant remove the audio from the movie when I extract the audio

Hi, Ho do I remove the audio from the video, so that I can hear my own song with the audio. I can import the movie, and extract and mute and audio within logic.. I am in 32 bit mode and when I "export to audio" when done with the song. The audio is still in the movie for the video i made with my audio. I have tried muting the audio in logic, and in settings and movie 'Mute". I have also imported different ways, like dragging and dropping hte movie into logic, or importing in global tracts way. But still when I export my audio is there with the original audio. Thanks In adcance Lou.

When you export the audio to movie, the third option box that pops up says "select the audio to keep in the movie" - so you need to deselect the audio listed - you don't want to keep it. That is the original audio that is listed there.

The "import audio from movie" has no bearing on this. It doesn't cut the audio out of the movie and put it in Logic, it copies it to a track or tracks.
