Trouble with audio interface (E-MU 0404) on OS X Lion

After I install "OS X Lion" from "Mac App Store" system can't find my audio interface ("Creative E-MU 0404 USB"), I see Audio Card in System Profiler, but it doesn't apear in "System Preference - Audio".

Also, "Creative Proffessional Software" doesn't run under Lion, because it's a "PowerPC" application, but I install update from June, 2010.

Is it possible that driver was written for "PPC", and now "Lion" doesn't support it, and what should I do?

I got Audiofire 2. Works just perfect. No drivers actually needed - only the Console app that allow you to manage channels settings and so on. The card itself as I understood operate under its own flash firmware and all it require is OS X built-in system's firewire audio driver, that's it.

Sound quality is exactly the same as with e-mu - simple basic consumer level. The most difference - it works 🙂

Now (14 Oct, 2011) it seems that Creative has released drivers for Lion and EMU 0404...

The new driver works on Mavericks 10.9.4! Even have 192kHz sampling supported

I created a kernel driver to fix the issues I and others had with the original EMU drivers for OSX.

The old driver did not work for me anymore after going to 10.9.5. Outright kernel panics. Playback ticks.

My driver also supports 176 and 192 kHz rates 🙂
