What is com.akamai.client.plist?

Console shows this activity (sample below) which is going on constantly, never stopping.

I searched for akamai, also for "com.akamai.client.plist" and neither can be found as either visible or invisible files.

I searched this forum for info, found directions for removing the software and the plist through the terminal but none of this worked.

I probably am not understanding the situation but it looks like something is trying to start and cannot and is taking up CPU time to do so.

What you think?

Sorry. I have the same issue where I see the following console errors repeating every 10 seconds:

This seems to prevent my mac from going to sleep on its own. From what I've googled, it seems to be the remnants of an Akamai download manager installed by Adobe. According to the link in the first reply (http://blog.maecius.com/post/1263581347/uninstall-akamai-download-manager-and), and everything else I've read, the way to get rid of this is to navigate to the Akamai and run the following command:

admintool uninstall -force

Unfortunately, when I do that I get the response:

-bash: admintool: command not found

I thought that your earlier response meant I had to log out and log back in within the terminal. Doing so via the apple menu doesn't seem to help.

I've also been unable to find the offending com.akamai.client.plist file to delete it, as other pages have suggested as another way to kill the errors.

Any advice here would be most appreciated!
