Regular Expose in Lion

Does anyone know how to fix expose in Lion to show all windows? (like it did in version 10.6 - through version "the dawn of time")

What I would prefer is a terminal code to make this the default behavior for expose for all users under all circumstances.

Anyone?

Same complaint here. I've always used Expose via hotcorners and I used it a lot - single biggest efficiency improvement ever. I could do everything with a flick of the mouse.

Mission Control is incredibly convoluted by comparison - I now have to make two movements and a very delicate gesture (or reach for an entire second input device - i.e. the keyboard) simply to pick a Finder window to switch to.

At least give us back 'all windows' in the hotcorner options. Pretty please....

I have already wrote Apple begging for the return of the "show all windows" expose. I seriously doubt that Apple will do anything about it, but the least we can do is to write them and let them know that Mission Control doesn't hold a candel to Expose. I have been using it since Panther, and it made me more efficent than I ever thought posible. Expose is something that I relate to my Mac, I love it, and if it isn't addressed in the next update, I have a feeling that someone will write a hack or something to give it back to us. ****, I might do it myself if I get a chance, sell it for a buck a piece on the app store and get rich!! lol

I am happy to find that so many other users are concerned about this shift in functionality. I identify most closely with those who describe SL Exposė as a huge productivity booster. While I will not return to SL, I hope to see an added feature sometime soon, or at least a hack. Most of us would be satisfied with the one extra option of "all windows." how hard can it be. I feel that while mission control may better handle and organize enormous amounts of open applications and windows, many of us are organized enough with our application usage already, and thus "all windows" is a much more efficient task-switching utility. It enables us to immediately see everything going on, in my own case with a simple swipe into the upper right corner. I found that less experienced users got confused when I enabled exposé on their machines for training purposes, so I can understand Apple's focus on managing the mission control experience for these users. When I have to use a PC, I find myself swiping for exposé at least once a minute. In mission control, I am currently using both the application stacks and application windows features with some success, but I find myself taking at least twice the time as older exposé to find the window I want. Between choosing whether to show all applications or show one applicaton's windows, or having to click two or three times to open a stack, I am losing time and focus on my work, and it adds up. I appreciate the organization, the more robust virtual desktop environment, and especially the recent files bar in app exposé, but the old "all windows" command never failed, and simply felt instantaneous, allowing me to retain complete focus on content.

Yeah, its one thing to falsely advertise your new system as something its not, but to then go and deny us the bits that actually worked well and replace them with impracticle "eye candy features" for your generation of iOS customers...poor form, apple.

Everything that this $30, "revolutionary" upgrade has given me is what the third party apps did better to start with.

Get with the times. Do some market research.

Pisino has made the most intelligent comment in this discussion. Apple Feedback is the proper place to let Apple know what you like or don't like about a product. In the case of Mission Control I strongly suggest that in your feedback you not just say, "I want Expose back" but rather specify exactly what you could do with the old version of Expose that you cannot do with Mission Control. For example, at present Mission Control does not display every window.
