I am happy to find that so many other users are concerned about this shift in functionality. I identify most closely with those who describe SL Exposė as a huge productivity booster. While I will not return to SL, I hope to see an added feature sometime soon, or at least a hack. Most of us would be satisfied with the one extra option of "all windows." how hard can it be. I feel that while mission control may better handle and organize enormous amounts of open applications and windows, many of us are organized enough with our application usage already, and thus "all windows" is a much more efficient task-switching utility. It enables us to immediately see everything going on, in my own case with a simple swipe into the upper right corner. I found that less experienced users got confused when I enabled exposé on their machines for training purposes, so I can understand Apple's focus on managing the mission control experience for these users. When I have to use a PC, I find myself swiping for exposé at least once a minute. In mission control, I am currently using both the application stacks and application windows features with some success, but I find myself taking at least twice the time as older exposé to find the window I want. Between choosing whether to show all applications or show one applicaton's windows, or having to click two or three times to open a stack, I am losing time and focus on my work, and it adds up. I appreciate the organization, the more robust virtual desktop environment, and especially the recent files bar in app exposé, but the old "all windows" command never failed, and simply felt instantaneous, allowing me to retain complete focus on content.
