Lion slow startup from sleep and bluetooth devices lost?

After upgrading to Lion I have 2 issues, wondering if anyone else has the same issues?

1) Snow Leopard started almost instantly from sleep, but after installing Lion there is a long delay.

2) Sometimes I cannot wake my system up with my mighty mouse or keyboard and have to re-boot my mac before the bluetooth devices are recognised?

Any ideas?

With due credit to gtmagnet, try checking the advanced Bluetooth option "Enable Bluetooth devices to wake this computer".

This may work for you as an interim solution until the bug is fixed.

One drawback: if you put your computer to sleep and then turn off, say, your Magic Trackpad (using the MT's power button), it will wake your computer straight back up again.

So you'll either need to put up with extra battery drain on your Bluetooth devices until the bug is fixed or try carrying them far enough away from the computer that you can switch them off without it "noticing".

yeah, me too

sometimes when i start up imac, it says that wireless mouse/trackpad/keyboard cannot be found, and then it keeps scanning until they are found

hopefully this bug will be fixed

i've noticed that general startup and shutdown take longer under 10.7. I'm not sure if Snow Leopard was like this when it first launched, since i got my Mac when it was 10.6.6

I am not "techy" AT ALL, I came to apple because of, as Steve would have said, the seamlessness of Apple. Since paying for snow leopard, waiting for it to come in the mail, having it not delivered twice by UPS b/c Apple has an unwritten policy to require signature for delivery, then paying for lion - (whew, runon sentence) - I've had nothing but problems including this one with the delay in my mouse working from sleep. It takes about 15 seconds every time my computer wakes up. The 2008 version worked just great. All I wanted was iCloud but of course you couldn't do that without all the upgrades. Anyway my point is, disappointment in apple, God I miss Steve. It was he and his attention to detail and ease of use that swayed me from PCs in the first place. I don't think he would be pleased.
