Make images always open in actual size in Preview

Switched over to Lion, and can't find an option that would make open in actual size the default in preview. I think I remember this being true in snow leopord before but I somehow found a way around it. However, now images are opening in fit to screen again and I'd like to put an end to that. Also, if it's possible to change the veiw options I'd like to do that as well, since it always opens them in "thumbnails" and there seems to be no way to switch the default to something else (like "content only").

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7)

It has changed again. Now your only option is Preview>Preferences>Images

I have no idea what you are trying to say here?

For the first: This changes what 100% scale means but doesn't change Preview so that it automatically opens images in their actual size, rather than shrinking them to fit in the screen.

For the second, let me explain better. Go to the "View" drop down in preview. There will be four options: "content only" "thumbnails" "table of contents" and "contact sheet." When you open multiple files, it always opens them in "thumbnails" view, and I was hoping I could change that to something else.
