MB: Won't sleep when lid closed and power connected.

Upgraded to Lion a few days ago and everything seems to be working great besides one thing:

When I close the lid on my Macbook (mid 2009) and the power is connected, the light remains on and the computer won't sleep. When i lift the lid everything is how I left it with no blink of the screen as it fires back up. However, when the power is disconnected, the computer sleeps fine when the lid is closed.

How can this be solved?

Ok, having the same problems as the original poster, I tried the sharing on / reboot / sharing off / reboot method and it worked for me as well. I also re-enabled file sharing (for the dropbox folder only), the only one I use consistently, and it sleep stills seems to be functioning properly.

I had the same problem. Like others I tried to turn sharing on, then reboot and turn sharing off and then it worked!

i was having the same issues, i just discovered that i had a print job held up in que that i never printed, i deleted it and now it works fine!
