I'm curious - [SP] in Safari header???

In Safari - at the very top of the browser - where you see the title of the page...

[SP] appears after every title...

on blank browser windows it says untitled [SP]

any ideas what the [SP] stands for?

Hi gagsy,

My Safari has the same problem, [SP] stands for Single-process windows,

should switch to multi-process mode to avoid this suffix.

turn on your terminal and put below command in:

defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeInternalDebugMenu 1

log out and log in safari again, now you can see "Debug" tag on menu toolbar.

select the Use Multi-process windows

log out and log in safari again. the [SP] suffix should be gone.

remove the "Degug" from menu toolbar, just use the command:

defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeInternalDebugMenu 0

But somehow, the safari goes to single-process mode occasionally when I reboot Mac, thus now i alway let the "Debug" on menu toolbar.

I'm curious - [SP] in Safari header???
