unable to download boot camp 4 windows software

Okay, I'm an idiot, my apologies, I had to ruthe I file in OS X then get the drivers there, then open the drivers individually in windows, sorry.

Those drivers are for Win7, there are no drivers for XP available from Apple.

Should have installed in /*nameofyourdrive*/library/application support/bootcamp or something along those lines i have since reformatted since then so i have no folder to have a look for them on my machine so im going from memory... you could try /userfolder/library/aplication support etc etc

No win xp drivers for bootcamp 4 i believe... windows 7 is fairly well sorted for you not to run xp, plus as there is no support for winxp 64 why would you choose it over win7... just my thoughts...

you dont have to run them individually in windows, if i remember correctly there is an setup file either a .exe or .msi that allows you to install all the package in windows as needed...

Should i not have some points by now for supplying the masses with windows drivers lol ;P

Trying to download the latest drivers using the bootcamp assistant here. It just gets to about 20% and hangs, forever. I've given it about an hour and it never seem to progress.

I botched my drivers in Windows 7 and need to get the video drivers reinstalled. I guess I'll give it more time! 😀

I was able install Windows 7 with Boot Camp last night, but I am having an issue with the support drivers. The Apple install ran and appeared to install the drivers, but Windows still does not find the hardware. Can someone give me suggestions as to what I can do to get this working?

I have a Mid-2011 Mac Mini, no cd-rom drive.

I installed Windows 7 x64 (64-bit due to a need to support 8GB+ memory) via flash drive which, becuse I used the Microsoft tool that transfers contents of an iso obtained from their web store to a bootable flash drive, is not formatted in such a way that OS X (10.7.3) has the ability to write to it. I planned on using a Parallels VM to copy the boot camp files to the same flash drive in order to install the drivers as wireless didn't work on the fresh Windows install. However all attempts to download the support files via the Boot Camp Assistant on OS X Lion to the local drive or any external NTFS volumes met with stalling and evential failure within the Boot Camp Assistant process.

After then erasing a second flash drive and formatting it as FAT32 via the OS X DIsk Utility, directing the Boot Camp Assistant to download the support files to this thumb drive finally met with success.

You haven't run into the flavor of this problem where OSX tells you you're not connected to the internet, when you try to DL the win support drivers?

If you can't download them your options are limited aren't they.

Try this:

Apple>System Preferences>Network>Advanced, uncheck Auto Proxy Discovery, then retry downloading the drivers.

$29 for the disc is a cheap way out.

I used the Snow Leopard disk from my Mac Mini to install drivers on Macbook Pro Lion -- still does not work. No networking and no internet access. It says I do not have a network card.

Macs have always worked perfectly when you have the Install disks. Not very happy they no longer do that with Lion.

How do I get drivers for Windows 7 64-bit????

With regards to OSX LION having no install disk.

It is verys easy to make a Lion Recovery Disk Assistant
