Size of the type in Mailbox list

Is it me, or is the type in the Mail application mailbox list way larger that before? I have dozens of folders and sub folders, and to scroll down the list to move a message into a folder is about twice as long as it was because each folder's name is in huge type. I looked at my other non-Lion Mac & their is definitely a difference. I thought maybe it was because I use small mailbox icons in Mail 4.5, but that's not even an option in new mail. Any way to reduce the size of the type in the list - it's sticking out like a sore thumb every time try to file a message....
