nVidia quadro FX 4500 powermac g5 part numbers?

Hello, I have a dual core 2.3 ghz PowerMac G5 (late 2005). I want to get an nVidia quadro FX 4500 graphics card for it. There are a few original (not flashed PC cards) on ebay for sale with different part numbers. Both claim they were pulled from working machines. One has part number 661-3732 and the other stated that the numbers on the back are 631-0110 and 630-7219. I was wondering if anyone could confirm that these are indeed original parts for this product.

PowerMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

the other stated that the numbers on the back are 631-0110 and 630-7219.

Ask for the EEE code from the serial number on the card to be sure.

Thank you japamac! You have helped me many times before on this forum via past threads. This was confusing because apple support published this:

This made me unsure of the 661-3732 part number, even though I had googled it and seen it listed as an apple original part on websites, including the link you posted. There are so many people selling flashed PC cards and passing them off as original. I want to be sure, before I purchase one, that it is in fact original. I am going to be using my G5 for video production and digital imaging. I have seen you talk highly of the nVidia GeForce 7800 GTX flashed to Mac ROM. But, I have seen threads on here of the ROM being flashed and the cards acting flaky. I want a card that is going to give me the best performance and stability for Final Cut Studio 2 and CS4 design premium, and from what I've read the quadro FX 4500 is my best bet. Any other information and wisdom you can pass on to me will be greatly appreciated!

Yes, the whole ID bit is confusing.

The article that Apple provides does give the average person a way to identify the cards via the vendor tags stuck to the back of the card.

Unfortunately, these tags can be manipulated by the unscrupulous and become lost as well.....

But, these numbers on the tags are not the "part numbers" per se, that is, not the part numbers that were used when ordering the cards from Apple.

That's why I agree with, and thus provided the link to, the advice of We Love Macs, to cross reference the EEE code of the serial number of the card, which is both imbedded in the ROM and labeled on the board.

In the end, buying from a reputable source limits potential worries and using the cover of PayPal will help get a wrong card made right.
