360 Controllers not working in Lion

I am a big fan of the xbox 360 controller driver for mac, but it no longer works in Lion. The driver worked well in leopard, but I can't get it working on SL or Lion. The software installs without any problems, but I cannot get my controller to connect -- it is stuck on "no devices found." The drivers are available on tattiebogle.com -- I also found this thread and followed the additional instructions, but it's still not connecting. I have been trying to contact the developer about SL issues for over a year with no response so I figured I wouldn't waste my time asking him about Lion and came here instead. Any ideas on how to get this working?

I can say with certainty that the solution athttp://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1327396 works perfectly with Mavericks 10.9.4 and an Afterglow wired controller.

Some caveats:

1) When you get to the step where you write down your Product ID and Vendor ID, you will need to convert them from hexadecimal into decimal. You can do this using the built-in Apple Calculator tool (just search Spotlight for Calculator, and switch it into "programmer" mode; you can use the number 16 at the top to enter the hex code, and then switch the 16 button to the 10 button to get the result in decimal... or, you can just Google for "hex converter").

2) When you go to install your modified plist, you actually have to drag the plist file on top of the extracted "InstallNewControllerList.app" file.

3) The version that worked for me is .08; however, once you have installed the updated plist file, you can probably run newer versions (with the bug fixes). No promises; I didn't bother to upgrade because .08 worked great for me.

One other note: I personally checked every aspect of the files found in that post for malicious code. They are safe; don't worry about downloading the included .sh file, .plist and .app from MediaFire. (I know, it's kind of sketchy, but it's clean and works great.)

Good luck!
