MP3 icon no longer displays artwork in finder

Yes I know there was an earlier thread with this name but this is a new thread because when I upgraded to iTunes 10.4 the problem came back. When I open a folder of mp3s in Finder old ones have the artwork but new ones do not even though I downloaded the artwork in iTunes. If I copy an mp3 file that has the artwork in the icon and paste it in a new folder in Finder the icon no longer shows the artwork. The artwork appears when I play the songs in iTunes but does not appear in Finder. I can go into an iTunes playlist click Info and click on the Artwork Tab where I have an album cover showing, click on the album cover, click apple-X (cut) then apple-V (paste), then the artwork suddenly appears on the thumbnail in the folder in Finder. Seems to fix it in list view and cover flow view but not in column view. Running OSX 10.68 What gives?

Thank you for contacting us here in this thread. I downloaded iTunes 10.5.1 and lo-and-behold, the problem has been fixed. Finally. I am glad that it was not an OS problem as I had believed as I was sure I would just have to endure this until I upgraded to whatever Lion upgrade would be coming in the future (I am still on Snow Leopard, however). Thank you again!

I recently stepped into the mire that is iTunes Match, disappointed to find that I had nearly 5000 songs not recognize. Searching for assistance, someone suggested it may be my songs were linked to a previous account, and converting all my missing albums to AAC might make a difference. Bigger headache that it may have been worth.

Still, I share that because after coverting all my songs, suddenly my artwork shows up again in the Finder. I can use the iTunes screensaver again because my artwork has returned. Why? I don't know. But I thought I'd share, just in case anyone else is feeling marginally insane this morning.
