Connect to iTunes and press Restore on the page where you see your iPod. It's really helpful for de-activating that security lock. Trust me.🙂
Connect the iPod to its syncing computer and restore via iTunes. If iTunes asks for the passcode and you can't enter the pascode, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
For further info see:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
This really helped me.
My kid was fiddling with IPOD & he put security lock. After that IPOD was displaying - Ipod is Disabled.
Based on your feedback, i connected to Itunes & clicked RESTORE button.
IPOD was connected to Computer all the time. After 10-15 mins,, .. (lots of actions automatically in between...) it was back in the original position & no more asking for Passcode.
Thanks for the post.... it works...

Turn off your iPod all the way than hold down the home button for about 5 sec it should fix it
Disabled meaning what exactly? If it is disabled because you are locked out due to a forgotten passcode, you will have to restore the iPod.
Sammych7, did you notice the post is eight months old and you provided no new information on a question that is asked a dozen times a day.
