where are ringtones stored

Settings>Sounds>Ringtone

Suggest you download from the App Store

iBooks (free App) and then from the

iBooks Store iPhone Users Guide (free book).

You can do a search such as ringtone and

find all about it.

You don't have access to the file system. If you're syncing ringtones to your phone, go to settings>sounds>ringtones. You should see them there.
