Where are the minimized window views in mission control?

hi guys,

installed lion, everything seems ok. i like the speed and slickness but am annoyed by the finder sidebar and the mail and safari buttons beeing completely grey that you always have to check twice which button is which...

...but my question is: under snow leopard i could see which windows were still open but minimized in the dock under expose. where did this function go in lion????

thanks,

j.

i'm not sure you understood my question - i know how to start mission control; i would like to see my open but minimize windows in mission control like i could with expose. btw i have a mbp 3,1 so there are no gestures. but thanks.

I do not know the answer with no trackpad.

here is my screen shot of the above procedure, with four minimized test windows.

In Lion you can no longer do full Expose i.e. all app windows now it is only the active app windows. Using a mouse you cannot do it all using the options provided by Apple you have to use a 3rd party app such as http://magicprefs.com/ which I would higly recommend for mouse and trackpad users.

Why Apple have not provided to set up different gestures for different actions especially for the mouse is idiotic. They are clearly trying to get everyone to use a trackpad which if you are doing precision work such as graphic design is a complete no no.

Yes this new Mission Control veiw of windows is very annoying. Especially if you have multiple windows, that look similar for the same App. Even spreading them out leaves them overlapping. I've even had instances where 3 or 4 windows are so overlapped that you can't even see the title bar. Select a window and you are not guaranteed to get that window.

thank you people, but lion made me go back to snow leopard. as i said i like lion's speed but it's not running proper so far. got several times logged out when i woke up my mbp from sleep and all the documents i was working on were lost. so this missing expose thing is just the tip but not really something you can call ease of use compared with what apple accomplished in snow leopard.

...i will eventually come back to a pretty much more 'mature' lion.
