Scrolling causes insane cpu usage

It happens with all the software I have tried so far, including : finder (up to 49%), firefox 5 (up to 70% fan spins like crazy User uploaded file), sparrow (up to 50%), safari (up to 30%).


Really annoyed here. I'm with a macbook pro 15-inch early 2009, 2.6ghz, 4gb ram.

If it keeps like this I suppose I have to downgrade User uploaded file.


Any thought?

yes, that's with Firefox.


Scrolling is processor intensive, but it shouldn't really make a difference in performance. That's what virtual memory is for. Of course, your VM depends on your free disk space.
