This is bugging the **** out of me - in Lion, recipients' names are reversed.
I want to send an email to "John Doe" but the email 'To' field shows "Doe John".
Is there a way of fixing this?

Hi - Yes, names are correct in Address Book and also - interestingly to me at least - in the left column of Mail.
It's only in the right column, where the messages are read, that the names are reversed.
Don't have any servers configured at all.
Mail uses your Address Book preferences, so that's where you change this:
Thanks GlennW, but not so... that was what I expected to happen but I already had Address Book Prefs set that way!
Hmmm...Do names appear correctly in Address Book? Do you have an LDAP server configured in Mail?
Mail changes John Doe > Doe John
