AOL Mail "My Folders" problem

If while on my iPhone I move an email from my inbox to one of my saved folders (what AOL calls "My Folders") it will stay there, as expected. If however, while on AOL's website I move an email from the inbox to a saved folder, it will NOT show up on my iPhone. Additionally, if I take an email that was successfully moved while on the iPhone, and move it to a different folder while on AOL's website, that email will now be gone from the iPhone...even if on the website I move the email back to the first saved folder. In other words, if while on the website I move an email, it will no longer show up on my iPhone. I can VERY briefly see the typical message on the iPhone that says "download xxx emails" but then it quickly goes away. This is a new problem (moving email in the past on either device had always synced correctly) and it started about two days ago.

Same thing and same frustration. I have a Travel Confirmations folder and my emails are showing up on AOL on my computer but are not populating the iphone folder of the same name. I did try saving a new message to my general SAVED folder and it showed up in my SAVED folder on my phone--but still no luck with the other saved folders populating on the iphone. I arrived in LA and couldn't find the hertz confirmation that I knew was in the folder (uggh!).

I tried a workaround that failed: i.e., used AOL on my laptop and copied all 16 messages from the Travel Confs folder to a newly created folder called Travel Confs2. A minute later, the new folder did show up on my iphone folder list---but it is EMPTY! Uggh!

If anyone finds out a solution to this, please please post it! Is this what we get for being the last ones using AOL?

This problem started I believe on or around June 4 when all the Internet companies had to create and enlarge .com "world". For the record I had the problem with my Blackberry-I use to be able to see all my sent emails that was sent from my phone on my ipad2 and that abruptly ended after the date I mentioned . I'm not totally sure that it is all AOL even though they @ times have that jacket. The reason why I say that is because I just bought a MACBOOK PRO AND YES ALL MY FOLDERS are there with my emails! This problem seems to be linked to Mobile type technology. You might want to try settings in the AOL account and sync your phone if U can to the AOL account! Good luck.

I have a similarly named "Travel" folder, which is where I first noticed my problem. One difference between what I've noticed and what you wrote--I am unable to get even the generic "Saved" folder to populate on my iPhone. Given that this problem has been unresolved after this much time leads me to believe that AOL is uninterested in correcting it. You may be right that this is what befalls the last of us still tied to AOL.

For those of you experiencing this issue, check your folders today. All of my missing data has mysteriously reappeared in my file folders this morning. No word from apple or aol as to how the problem was resolved but everything seems to be working correctly now. Curious if you're finding this in your cases as well.

Mine are back as well. Hallelujah! (Perhaps ironically, when I tried to log in and post this message, I kept getting an error message from Apple--at least AOL isn't the only tech company with occasional difficulties!). Thanks to all for the moral support.

Mine just came back too. It is a relief especially for my travel folder. I still have it all printed out but now I can use my IPhone to look things up and keep the printed ones for backup.

All mine are back, too. Thank goodness. I wasn't looking forward to having to transition that particular email account.
