Importing Kodak Playsport Movs? Please help

Hi, my name is Guy, I am new to the forums and maybe I am asking a dumb question but I have a Kodak Playsport but can't import the files into Final Cut.

Yes they load into PRO X but I use FCP.

With me having 80 files from my recent trip what is the best way to get them in so I can edit them?

I am sure the answer is convert them but which programme is best but more importantly which file format should I choose?

Thats the thing I am unsure of. I googled it but so many conflicting views over best format so I don't have HUGE files and not lose quality?

Many thanks for your expertise.

According to the specs for the Kodak Playsport, it records using h.264. You should be able to use Compressor or MPEG Streamclip to convert the recorded files into a format that will match your chosen FCP Sequence settings.

File sizes will be larger, but you should expect that. Make sure you have enough hard drive space available.
