I'd search for all its files using EasyFind. Enter "MacKeeper" and "Zeobit." Set EF to scan all files and folders, invisible, case insensitive, package contents. Search using boolean and phrase. If you can't "Destroy" from EF, use Reveal in Finder to trash and authenticate (give password) from there.
Scroll down the page for the EasyFind download

Also search in EF for "wine" and open Keychain in Applications>Utilities to be certain you don't find anything MacKeeper related there. Remove any MacKeeper cookies from your browser.
This is for MacKeeper, not the Mac Defender Trojan variant, which might be using the Mac Keeper name. (You want to stay far away from both.) For that, see the sticky at the top of the forum page.
See my post here on using EasyFind.

i tried it this way but it doesn't find anything....
Do you have Invisible folders and files checked? Try "Phrase" and "Unix-Wildcards"? "Settings>Scan all files?"

I also tried with terminal and this command
that is what it finded
sudo find / -iname "mackeeper" -print
Password:
/.MobileBackups/Computer/2013-03-12-000545/Volume/Library/Application Support/MacKeeper
find: /dev/fd/3: Not a directory
find: /dev/fd/4: Not a directory
So, from the sound of it, you probably know how to do this. Use Terminal to show hidden folders and files, go there and trash it. I would also enter "zeobit" in that command. Odd that EF didn't find that invisible.
Hello thomasfrombiboxi and others,
I got this question too! And all of your answers are complicated. But I finally found out the solution for it. Please read the instructions before you do ANYTHING.
_______________________________________________________
Step 1: Shut down your Mac.
Step 2: After shutting down and your screen in black, wait for 10 seconds(So it can refresh and let it calm)
Step 3: Switch on your Mac and log in.
Step 4: Finder> Application> MacKeeper(Please do not open the MacKeeper, or you need to shut down your Mac.)
Step 5: Drag MacKeeper to "Trash"
Step 6: It will ask you to type in the password. Type your password in.
Step 7: Next thing pops up, click "Uninstaller"
Step 8: It's deleted!

It looks complicated and many steps, but it just takes you like no time! Its actually better than all those answers because it's not complicated. But others answers are great too, its just a bit complicated.

This discussion is over three years old, so I'm certain that thomasfrombiboxi doesn't need help any more and I doubt that anybody else is paying any attention to this discussion any more. I certainly don't know why I'm still watching it.
Just a tip. It's considered bad manners to ask to be liked and won't get you any points in any case.
hm.... so, i didn't find all those files enlisted.
Would it be best to hard reset my Mac, will that resolve it?
You replied to instructions from two years ago and much has changed. MacKeeper isn't owned by the same developer now. I'm not even sure you are addressing the same issue.
Please start a new discussion and completely explain what it is you are observing or trying to do. You will get a lot more help faster that way. Just the way these forums work best.
