How do I resize video for e-mail-- options are either too BIG or too small!

I'm trying to send some digital camera videos via e-mail. They are around 100mb each, much too large for e-mail!

In QuickTime Player, I have various options for saving them in smaller sizes--options of computer, iPod, iPhone, and iPhone (cellular). The computer versions are around 17mb, too big for sending. The iPhone version is a great size for viewing within an e-mail, but at 8-10mb, they are also too large for recipients' mailboxes (4-6 videos will fill up most of their quotas).

My only other choice, though, the iPhone (Cellular), produces incredibly tiny, 500-600 KB files, that are minitiature movies and unwatchable (even Lilliputians would find too small)! You cannot tell what is going on.

How can I save or export these videos, so that they are in between the two in size--say, half the size of the iPhone version--or even a third?

(Note: I'd like our family members to have copies of the event videos and not have to log onto a 3rd party storage site.)

MacBook Pro early 2008-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Time for a new computer! :-)

The way I'd do it, which may be a bit convoluted, is to open a movie you want to resize.

From the QuickTime menu, select File, then Export. The resulting window will have a section called "Export:" Assuming your original file is .mov, click the up/down arrows to the right and select 'Movie to QuickTime Movie', then click the Options button and adjust the size there.

Good luck
