Stuck at "checking midi servers" in startup screen in Logic express. OS X Lion

I've recently updated to the new Lion, and all off sudden, I can't open my Logic Express anymore. It gets stuck in the loading screen at "checking midi drivers". Does anyone know how to solve this?

Logic Studio, Mac OS X (10.7)

Ok I was just wondering because I do when it comes to music but it could be choppy and even unresponsive at times with Snow Lepard. Sometimes the computer won't recognize it's attached but since upgrading there are times it will be picked up but no signal will be heard. Wasn't sure if others were experiencing the same issues, it may be time for a new one - maybe around PT 10.

I had the same issue having just installed snow leopard and plugged in my M Audio 49e keystation, i tried to follow the discussions through the link but I don't have a folder called 'midi driver's'??

I downloaded the driver for the keystation and logic started the first time after, but no midi signal. Since then it's never opened and now garageband won't launch either - help!!?
