Macbook Pro LCD Screen Separating from the Unibody Case

I dropped my macbook pro onto my mattress while it was open this past Friday (about 6 inches) and the LCD began poping out of the case. The LCD is working fine and is blemish free but is coming apart from the unibody top. The problem I'm having is almost exactly the same issue as the one on this site (pics there):

My question is

1) Will they fix it at the apple store (it is out of warranty) and about how much would it cost ($100, $200, $300, etc...)

2) The solution on the site above sugested using a resin epoxy made for aluminium, are there any precautions I should take if I chose to fix it myself)

Thanks for the help and I'm open to any other ideas anyone else has.
