how do i put videos on my ipod??????

Yeah i have the ipod video and I want to put one of my DVDs on there...Is this possible? i have downloaded every type of converter and thing that i know! And i cannot even put them onto the ipod! CAN SOMEONE please give me a step by step insturction list to help me utilize this 400 peice of equipment! hahaha thanx soo much for your time whoever reads this or comments back!
ps i have looked at all the forums already and none have been useful i have downloaded things that people post on here and still they won't work! i just had my computer rebuilt by a professinal so i know this isn't the machine..and it is a windows machine

So, I'm having the problem where I open the videora iPod converter choose transcode new video and in 1 and a half seconds it says finished, but when i go in to the export directory there is nothing there. I have looked over each step of about 4 different tutorials about 4 times and each and same with all FAQ's. I have seen my enable debug console (some explain why you can't copy that so i cant paste it here). It mentions that i should searc/find/delete all but the newest cygwin.dll. I seach, find, and then realize that the only cygwin.dll i have is the one that is in the "videoraipodconverter" folder . So I leave it there and then in my debug info it say that it should be located in a x:\cygwin\bin folder. So I created a folder C:\cygwin\bin and copied it in there, but still no dice. So I've searched more into the FAQ's and tutorials, but still no dice. I'm a pretty computer savvy person so you don't need to hold my hand through this, but I would appreciate some info, beecause I got no where else to turn and it seems a lot of people have this problem and most people are just posting the link to the same faq's to them that don't help. So any takers? Anyone know what is goin on and what to be a lamb and try and help me out? Thanks, I appreciate it

yeah like in in my library i have the video icon where i have a few music videos that i can watch in itunes but will not go onto my Ipod.... so can i be stupid and ask sum one to just help me from the time when i enter the DVD into the drive and from there on.... I, tonight, downloaded "vidora" and that didn't seem to help me at all!! i promise i am not this computer illerate i just seem to grasp this! thanx everyone who cares enough to spend time helpin!!

On Videora I'm trying to convert a DVD to put on my ipod but when i look for what to convert under the disk drive there are like 8 different things to convert. Which ones should I try?
