Hi there, I have a client that swears his last editor was able to open a Sony Vegas file into FCP somehow, he thought maybe a plugin? I have done a lot of searching, but I can't find anything. I think the client is somehow mistaken, this doesn't seem possible, but hopefully I'm wrong.
Any ideas?

Don't know much about Vegas. Can you export an XML? No way to get it into the current version of FCP.
I don't have Vegas, or a PC or even a copy with Bootcamp. He misunderstood the last editor is my guess.
Sony Vegas can import/export AAF format.
There is a Plugin called "Automatic Duck" that can allow Final Cut Pro (not X) to import AAF files so your client was actually correct.

right, so I'd need to install Windows, then Vegas, then get Automatic Duck and then do it. I figured it'd be something like that. I'm just going to try to find an editor with Vegas to get the specific clips I need.
