press for 3 sec. power button

than keep holding the power button and press home button together, for 15 sec

than leave power button, but KEEP HOLDING power button, for 20 sec.


than iTunes will do the rest, and you just need to follow the instructions!

DFU mode stands for DeviceFirmwareUpgrade.


1. Turn off your iPod touch.


2. Connect your iPod to the computer.


3. Hold the power and home button, when the Apple logo pops up stop holding the power button but still hold the home button.


4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that its in restore mode.
