Ok i did this the first time nothing. Still had the same issue so i said let me take in one step further and reinstalled itunes 10.3.1 and quicktime 7.69 an now everything works fine. So if you tried the instructions and nothing happens or no change from the original problem try taking itunes and quicktime back to an older verison almost like doing a system restore.

Ok this is an update to my post above... After loading itunes 10.3 and quicktime 7.68 i decide what the **** let me see what happens if i try to update itunes with 10.4 and not quicktime. So i go to the check for updates itunes 10.4 + quicktime and quicktime 7 pop up so i tell it to update itunes 10.4 + quicktime but not quicktime so it loads with out a hitch. go to control panel, uninstall programs to check software versions. Itunes reads 10.4, i go to quicktime it reads 7.7 ( im like NOOOOOO ***). so i check to see if itunes store works and yes i does. Then i check http://www.oldapps.com/ i check on anynew itunes or quicktime updates and there seems to be an iTunes 10.4.1 update released on 22 Aug 2011 so there may have been a fix that came out for the issues that everybody is having.

AWESOME!!!! Thank you jimfromswanpoint!!!!! You're solution totally worked for me. So simple. No uninstalling or reinstalling.

To: arah Click Start>All Programs>Accessories, then right-click on the icon for "Command Prompt", then choose "Run as administrator", then type "NETSH WINSOCK RESET" and hit Enter, just as jimfromswanpoint instructed, then restart your computer.

To: jimfromswanpoint Thanks, I was getting the white screen for the iTunes store and also the AppleMobileDeviceService.exe was going crazy and over-working the CPU for no reason. ...And a third party app, Tansee iPhone Transfer SMS was not recognizing my iPhone either. Your fix solved all three problems!

Thanks again!

Hi all,

I had iTunes store 10.5 white screen problem too. I did the winsock stuff, the Microsoft fixes and nothing worked at all, but after going through 100's of forum msgs I found the answer.

I had PCTools Internet Security 2011 installed and discovered it was blocking the iCloud bit on iTunes.

I uninstalled iTunes, everything Apple, Bonjour and Quicktime, then went to PCTools site and upgraded to their 2012 version 9.0.0.888.

I downloaded iTunes 10.5 again and bingo! Everything works.

I know a lot of people blame Apple for not fixing this problem, as I did, but it actually looks like the problem could really lie within your security package. Upgrade to the latest release and all should be fixed - I hope!

Good luck.

It is 3rd party software that is blocking. Lots of 3rd party soft ware blocking. I finally narrowed mine to Video Accelerator (solves buffering issues when YouTube is swampped). Once I did the WINSOCK RESET and rebooted, I noticed iTunes Store worked but now the video accelerator couldn't communicate with the web. I ran it's repair tool, fixed video accelerator and BAM, iTunes Store dead again. Uninstalled video accelerator and rebooted...iTunes Store working fine. Your 3rd party software results may vary.

Thanks, jimfromswan point !

I followed the other indications, trying to uninstall, reinstall, etc... I don't know how many times. Nothing..........., A waste of time.

I run a HP Mini 210-1000 with Windows 7 Home Premium.

No Safari, blank screen / white screen.......

No Itunes Store, blank screen / white screen......

Quicktime also didn't work (and I paid for the PRO version + mpeg2 component)

My new iPhone 4s 64Gb didn't sincronize........

A) typed CMD (and instead of only enter, Ctrl+Shift+Enter)

B) typed NETSH WINSOCK RESET from the MS DOS prompt

C) restarted the computer

and............ ALL WORKED !

And the question is : Why this solution don't come from Apple ?

Thanks again.
