My iDVD went AWOL after I downloaded Maverick. Managed to recover it after using Time Machine and the iLife 11 disk issued with my Apple.
Worked for me, too!
However, it soon triggered an Update, which failed to download. (catch 22)
I'm appauled Apple would withdraw support for iDVD.
Lets hope they have a replacement application or even a simpler App.
For the record, I bought a current copy of Roxio / Titanium and it's still slow, clunky, and unispired disc burning software that is confusing and lacks the elegant style of iDVD. It was $70, too!
If Apple thinks discs are obsolete technology, they forget that their own grandparents may not even have internet at home. So, those home movies and last year's travel photos don't show very well on your iPhone. The disc still has a rightful place in non-internet homes - and there are more than you might think!
BRING BACK iDVD
