Anyone having issues with the magic mouse suddenly zooming content when using safari? This is happening constantly. I like the feature, and I know how to turn it off so that's not a solution. If it's a bug then that is another problem. I am also not accidently double tapping.

I had the same problem, I went into system preferences and turned smart zoom off and that has fixed the problem.
Thanks for this thread, turning smart zoom off in System preferences solved my problem. Additionaly I have installed Better Touch Tool http://blog.boastr.net and assigned new mouse gesture for smart zoom, together with modifier key, which allows me to use smart zoom only when I need to and not accidentaly.

It's not only in Safari.
Many samller Apps have the same behaviour : swiping with one finger, even unintentionnally, zooms in and out.
EXETREMELY annoying !
I for example use a lot of Flight Simulation editing software (Blender, JOSM, Overlay Editor, WED, OSM2World, etc ...), they ALL have the same problem !
Actually I had this problem. I went into system preferences and clicked on mouse. Be sure smart zoom is checked. The trick is not just to double tap but you must lightly double tap with one finger only. Two fingers minimizes the screen which is a different action. Each time you double tap with one finger the screen enlarges or goes back to normal.
If you want zoom not to work, uncheck smart zoom in mouse preferences.
Thank you SOOO much, this has been driving me crazy. As some says above it's just when you hover a finger over the mouse. Until now I couldn't undo it.
Zooming in on a web page is very useful to me in my work. So overall I like the feature.
However, it suddenly works on its own. It happens when I am scrolling down a web page. Definitely not a double-tap.
Shutting off the feature is NOT a fix as I sometimes actually want to use it as it was designed to work. Command 0 is not a fix as it is an inconvenient step for an unexpected behavior when I'm working.
Once again, great feature if it only worked on double-tap. Is there an Easter Egg command that makes this work on its own?

This is a user-to-user forum. Apple does not use it as a communications channel.
If you are using a magic mouse light double clicking with one finger is what is causing you to zoom in. If you light double click with one finger again it will zoom back out.
