Edirol FA-101 and Logic Pro
I am using a PowerBook G4 with an Edirol FA-101 firewire interface. I have connected the main left and right outputs of the FA-101 to my studio monitors.
When I wish to record using a microphone, then I planned to use headphones coming from the headphones socket on the FA-101. However, there seems to be no way that I can find to turn off the monitors without turning the phones volume down as well.
It cannot be necessary to physically turn off the the monitors at the back. So what can I do?
In the Logic manual it says that you can completely avoid the need of a mixing desk by using the Logic mixers. But I CANNOT work out how to turn the monitors off for recording whilst using the headphones.
This seems VERY odd. Please advise!!!
Many thanks in anticipation.
